The Herbarium at the Rapinat Herbarium approximate holds three lakh specimens, collected from Tamilnadu and other states of India and some from abroad. Specimens are either pressed and dried or preserved in spirit. RHT is committed to making this important collection more accessible to botanists and others, wherever they may be, for use in their own projects particularly in Biodiversity, Foresting, Pharmacy, Conservation, Sustainable development and systematics. Generally the specimens and information are taken from their collection labels or from lengthy field simple searches can be initiated form this page.
